Pura Vida Ride specializes in a range of Costa Rica Adventures ranging from 1 to 8 hours. Our shop is stocked with the best mountain bikes, kayaks, and SUPs to experience nature on land and on sea, and we love to put our toys to work! The options and adventure are endless. All it takes is our experience and your imagination!

If you want to experience mountain biking in Costa Rica, standup paddle, or kayak, we offer hourly, half and full day rentals from Pura Vida Ride that include the use of our top of the line Trek and Scott mountain bikes, Borealis Fat Bikes, Ocean Kayaks, and Surftech Stand up Paddleboards.

While we have invested the time to develop a number of mountain bike routes that we know and love, all of our Costa Rica adventure travel packages are customizable and are refined in close cooperation with you. Our goal is to give you the best and most adventurous experience in Costa Rica and to do it safely with strict attention to quality and service!

Served Any Way You Like!

We started by sourcing organically grown coffee from Costa Rica's central valley. We have proudly brewed Cafe Cristina since we opened our doors. Cafe Cristina is an organic shadegrown coffee farm, dedicated to producing the finest Arabica coffee while protecting and preserving native flora and fauna.

Next, we made sure we had the right brewing equipment for espresso drinks such as cappuccinos, lattes, americanos, amongst a host of other hot and cold offerings.

Finally we trained! Yep... we made lots and lots of coffee and train our staff diligently on what a good dry cappuccino is and what a real latte is.

The results? We have clients and friends that travel miles to visit us for a good cup of coffee, and we think you'll agree with their assessment: it's the best in Guanacaste.

Multi-Sport Pass

Our most popular package for active sports enthusiasts! Pay one price and use all of our equipment for as long as you like, whenever you like. You will have access to our kayaks, standup paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, mountain bikes, boogie boards, and whatever else we have on hand for outdoor adventure play at the time!

Our clients love the flexibility that the Multi-Sport Pass offers them. They come to Pura Vida Ride for the day and set up under the trees or in one of the hammocks and mix up ocean and mountain sports throughout the day. Just check out a piece of equipment and when you're done, exchange it for the next one.

Mountain Bike

Las Catalinas, Costa Rica maintains over 30 km of world-class coastal single-track mountain bike and hiking trails with scenic ocean views that will astound you. These trails have been developed since 2010 and every year the trail system grows and matures. The trails were designed to international trail building standards and you will find them challenging, fun, and extremely rewarding.

Stand Up Paddle Board

Our bay was built for paddle boarding: it is sheltered from the wind, has near-shore islands within an easy paddle, and generally has small and manageable surf!

We have numerous scenic self-guided paddle ideas we can share with you around the bay and the islands, or you can simply paddle into the bay and relax and swim, using the paddle board as a portable dock!

Kayak

Kayaking in Costa Rica is the perfect way for families to get onto the ocean and experience some of the teeming wildlife and scenic beauty of the clear water and islands within an easy paddle of Pura Vida Ride.

Bring your fishing rods if you want and you fish our local coves and reefs. We rent single and double kayaks.
